Adventurous Tours: Sightseeing in Cancun
Adventurous Tours: Sightseeing in Cancun
Sightseeing is a fun thing to do during any vacation, and Cancun has some of the best tours and locations available. Mexico is a country full of history, so while you are on your Cancun vacation, consider booking a few tours to places that are nearby your hotel. You won’t regret seeing some of these beautiful and historical places and it can make the trip education for kids as well as for adults.
Isla Mujeres is a quick twenty-minute ferry ride (which can itself be enjoyable) from Cancun, and this beautiful island is rich in history and folklore. The streets here are brick and the houses are historical and of Caribbean-style clapboard. You can explore the island all day or just for a few hours, and the snorkeling here is excellent. Diving is another activity that can be done on this tour.
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
Cancun is also home to a number of ruins. El Rey can be accessed quite easily from the hotel zone, as it is an ancient paradise in the middle of the hotel zone. This is a small ruins site, but fun to visit for a few hours before you head out to the city for dinner or nightlife. El Rey is the home of hundreds of iguanas, so this site is fun for children. If you’d like to see larger ruins, visit Chichen Itza or Tulum, where you can find huge Mayan pyramids and ancient ruins of Mayan temples and other buildings. If you plan to visit these ruins, however, make sure to allow an entire day for the trip, as there is much to learn and explore about the area.
From the hotel zone, bud tours also takes you into downtown Cancun, which has some of the best shopping in the area. Here, there are not only malls featuring many American stores, but there are also markets. At markets you can find a number of Mexicans selling traditional hand-made items like jewelry, blanks, hats, and toys. Haggling for better prices is expected and can be a lot of fun. Prices here are usually much more reasonable than they are in the hotel zone, so do your shopping downtown.
There is more to do in Cancun than simply lying on the beach and eating at Mexican restaurants. All-inclusive hotels usually provide tour options, or you and your fellow travelers can find tours on you own. A travel agent can help you book amazing things to do so that your vacation in Cancun will surely be one to remember.

The Best Beaches of Tahiti
The Best Beaches of Tahiti
Ahhhh, the South Seas. Just the name brings to mind tropical islands. All those beautiful beaches breaking onto colorful reefs that protect those georgeous lagoons of bright warm emerald green waters and coral-sand beaches. Tahiti is just one of 118 islands that spread over 5 great archipelagos. Its in 3 of these archepelagos that Tahiti is located in.
Tahiti, Tahiti, Tahiti-does any other name invoke images of exotic, private, and beautiful beaches to get away to? If you want to find some of the best beaches in Tahiti to go to, this article is going to further break it down, and give you the best beaches of Tahiti.
Of course Tahiti has numerous public beaches, but the best ones are located on the western side of the island. On Tahiti’s west coast, particularly between Mahana Park, or Paea-PK-19, and Le Meridien Tahiti hotel, or Punaauia-PK15, you will find the best. Just remember that these particular beaches get somewhat crowded on the weekends. So for the best use of these beaches you may want to take advantage of them during the week.
At PK18, you will see a small bridge. This nice little beach is a great one as it provides really nice and safe snorkeling if you want to get off the white sand and enjoy some time in the water.
Just a few hundred meters beyond that little beach by the bridge is Mahana Park, PK18.5. This is the beach many of the native Tahitians like to go to. So of you want to kick around a soccer ball, and play volleyball with Tahitians, this is the beach you want to go to. There is also a nice restaurant on this beach, and a snack hut in the parking area to the beach. And of course, the always nice and safe snorkeling found all around the island can be found here as well.
Probably the best beach on the western coast of Tahiti is the one on which the Le Meridien Tahiti hotel is built. This beautiful white sand beach, with the inviting clear turquoise waters, offers something more in the way of the luxuries afforded by the hotel overlooking the beach. Restaurant Le Carre has a wooden deck over looking the beach and the food is to die for. Throw in the sound of the crashing waves and the sounds of the tropical birds all around you when you decide to hop up from the beach and dine here, and what you have is one of the best spots to eat on any of the Tahitian beaches.
This list of the best beaches wouldn’t be complete without taking a trip around Tahiti to it’s east side, and it’s all black sand beaches. The island itself is really there because of tow ancient, inactive volcanoes. Both make up the greater and minor portions of the island, and come together to create the rest of the lay of the island. The ancient volcanoes have given the island magnificent all black sand beaches.
The location on the island of these popular and mesmerizing beaches is Venus Point, appropriate when you consider the island’s name means “Isle of Big Love,” anyway. If you are staying in the Tahiti’s capital city Papeete, it’s a straight shot down the coast on Le Truck, Tahiti’s public transportation, to Venus Point.
Not to forget that in Tahiti at the Tahiti Le Meridien has the largest sand-bottom swimming pool of the South Pacific where you will be able to fully relax in the middle of a tropical garden.
These are just some of the best beaches of Tahiti. Come and visit and you can discover more beautiful, coral-sand beaches on these beautiful tropical islands of the South Seas.

Nova Scotia – The Bay of Fundy
Nova Scotia – The Bay of Fundy
Nova Scotia and The Bay of Fundy is a must see when you come to Canada, home to the highest tides in the world with an estimated 100 billion tons of water rolling in and out of the bay twice daily.
One of the best places to see this phenomenon in action is Hopewell Rocks Park. These “flowerpot” rocks are tree-topped rocks only partially visible at high tide. Low tide reveals their delicate, sculpted bases. During low tide it is possible to actually walk on the revealed sea floor. As the tide comes in, footprints left on the flats literally disappear before people’s eyes as the water rises six to eight feet per hour. In some parts of the bay the difference between high and low tide can be as much as 46 feet (14 m).
Whale enthusiasts will appreciate the bay area for the variety of marine mammals attracted to its krill-rich waters during the summer months. Up to fifteen different species of toothed and baleen whales make their summer home in the waters just outside the bay. Whale-watching tours depart daily from June to October each year.
For a glimpse into the planetary past, make a trip up the bay to the Joggins Fossil Cliffs. These sandstone cliffs are rich with 300 million year-old fossils of everything from invertebrates to lizards and the trees of the primordial forest they lived in. The powerful tides in the Bay of Fundy are constantly eroding the cliffs, constantly revealing more fossils.
No visit to the Bay of Fundy would be complete without seeing the Reversing Falls of St. John. The St. John River flows into the bay through a series of rapids. When the bay’s legendary high tide occurs, the flow of sea water forces the river water back up its course, reversing the direction of the falls.
Nova Scotia and The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world, The Bay of Fundy is a 170 mile (270 km) long ocean bay that stretches between the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia on Canada’s east coast.

Preparing For Your Summer Vacation
Preparing For Your Summer Vacation
What are your plans for the summer? Are you taking a summer vacation this year? If you are, have you already started preparing for your trip? Online, there are a large number of preparation tips available for summer travelers. While preparation advice and tips may be of assistance to you, they are often hard to go by. This is because not everyone vacations at the same location. When preparing for your summer vacation, you are encouraged to keep your destination in mind.
No matter what your vacation destination is, you will need to take the climate into consideration. If you are visiting a tropical location, you will need to bring along the appropriate clothing. Bathing suits, shorts, t-shirts, and tank tops are common appeal found at beaches and aboard cruise ships. While you may be expecting warm and sunny weather, it is still advised that you prepare for the worst. Raincoats and an umbrella may be a great addition to your summer clothing.
Beach Preparation
Perhaps, the most popular summer vacation destination is the beach. Each year millions of individuals and families flock to beaches. When vacationing at the beach, it is important that you bring along the appropriate clothing and sunscreen. Many vacationers do not realize the dangers of sunbathing without sunscreen. In addition to sunscreen, you will need to make sure that you have beach towels and plenty of water on hand.
Cruise Ship Preparation
Cruise ships are a popular vacation choice for many individuals and families. If you are taking a cruise, you are advised to start preparing for your trip as soon as you book your reservation. Unlike many other vacations, a cruise often requires a large amount of preparation.
When preparing for your cruise, it is important to keep in mind where your ship will be headed and what stops are planned along the way. When on international waters or traveling to a foreign country, a passport is required. If you do not already have a passport you will need to obtain one. Passports can easily be obtained, but they do require approval. That is why you should apply for a passport as soon as you make your cruise ship reservation.
Camping Preparation
In addition to going on a cruise or vacationing at the beach, many families make the decision to go camping. Similar to taking a summer cruise, camping often requires a large amount of preparation. The amount of preparation needed often depends on where and how you will be camping.
When camping, you will need to determine where you will be sleeping. If you are camping with an RV, you will need to make sure that it is stocked full of supplies. If you plan on camping outdoors, you will need to make sure that you have your tents ready to go and that all of the pieces are accounted for. If you plan on boating, hiking, or fishing, you will want to bring the appropriate gear with you. Many campgrounds are in secluded areas; therefore, if you forget something, you often have to go without.
For the most part, if you forget to bring along certain supplies you can purchase replacements. The only downside to purchasing what you need at your vacation destination is the price. Many popular vacation destinations have inflated prices. To prevent unnecessary expenses, you are encouraged to check your luggage before you leave.
Emergencies
In addition to the above mentioned preparation tips, you are urged inform friends and family of where you are headed to. If you have developed an itinerary, you are encouraged to give this information to someone that you know. In the event that something happens back home, you can easily be reached. If you have any pets, you will need to make the proper arrangements for someone to care for or feed them.
Whenever you leave home, no matter where you are traveling to, you are always encouraged to have the proper forms of identification and that you carry photocopies of all your identification. If you do not have a driver’s license, you can easily obtain an id card from your local county office building. In addition to the proper identification, it is advised that you bring along all health insurance and auto insurance cards. Should you need care or get into an automobile accident; this information will come in handy.
Preparation and planning is very important for your summer vacation trip. It cannot be emphasized how important the preparation for your summer vacation is. Preparing for your vacation may seem overwhelming, but if you do your planning and preparation in steps the process becomes easier to manage.

Cheap Tickets To Unusual Places
Cheap Tickets To Unusual Places
You have a family and you want to be able to travel to someplace that the whole family can enjoy and still stay within your budget. Children love to be in on the secret, don’t they? Whenever there is something different or uncommon they want to be the first to tell their friends about it. If you can, it’s fun to take time in your vacation to stop at some unusual spots.
Often you don’t even know of any such places to find out about. There is a website sponsored by Theme Parks Online. This site lists theme parks in all the states. If you click on the links you get all kinds of information about each park.
Some of this information details the attractions at the park. Some of it is about park hours and seasons. The information you might find most interesting is the facts about discounts.
For instance, Legoland, in California, is a park with a unique theme. The site explains what the park is all about and what attractions are available. Then, it gives ticket information.
Children always pay less than adults. Adults with AAA cards can get a discount of ten dollars per person per day for their group. The second day or subsequent days are always cheaper than the first day. Look for deals like this at any park.
Hershey’s Park is a place that most people have heard of but fewer people have actually seen. Its theme, unusual for a park, is candy. If you look at the Theme Parks Online website, you will find deals for this park as well.
If you want to get more information, you can go to the Pennsylvania Visitor’s Center, or their tourism bureau to find out more. You can often find unpublished specials by going straight to the source and calling Hershey’s Park itself.
Ordinarily, children go to Hershey’s Park for about half the price as adults. Note, however, that they consider kids to be only those of the ages of three to eight. A nine year old, to them, is an adult.
Branson, Missouri is becoming more popular with many people, especially the older ones. There are things for kids to do there as well. Silver Dollar City is one of these activities.
Silver Dollar City is a combination of amusements. There are demonstrations of all sorts of folk art. There is glass blowing, rope making, and candle dipping, for example. Kids may find these displays fascinating.
They will certainly have fun at the other part of the park. This offers the thrill of the modern amusement park type rides. There are also two other parks in Branson that partner with Silver Dollar City to host a City Hopper Pass.
Kids’ tickets generally cost about ten dollars less than adults’. However, there are discounts to be had by going online. There are also coupons that can be printed. You can print and buy your tickets online as well for further savings.
The supply of novelty theme parks is not quite endless. There are plenty of them, though. The best way to find out about them is to listen to people who have been to them. Then, look for discounted tickets to make your kids’ adventures a little more affordable.
We all like to be able to go to places that are unusual and we all like to be able to travel cheap, especially if you are on a budget which most families are. Remember also that there aren’t just theme parks that you can go to but out of the way places like the unusual stops that you can go to on Route 66 is a good example of that. You don’t need a lot of money to have a good time or to have good quality family time.
